Gordian Strapping has supplied two turntable pallet wrappers to Fine Lady Bakeries’ Manchester site. Fine Lady Bakeries produces bread and other bakery products for supermarkets, independent retailers, sandwich makers and catering companies. Having formerly wrapped pallets by hand, the bakery decided to semi-automate the Manchester operation, and says the saving on film has been considerable. When supplying the major supermarkets, pallet securement is paramount for the company, as its pallets, if not wrapped properly, can become susceptible to spillage in transit. With 13 service engineers across the UK, Gordian was deemed to be an ideal partner for this project.
